I have always had a passion for architecture and good design, and have an architecture degree from the University of Nottingham. I combined this with a passion for charity work with people with learning disabilities and this led me on a different pathway in my early career. In charitable roles I rose to the position of Director, giving me numerous transferable skills that I still find invaluable today. I also now aim to give back to charities through trustee roles.
Architecture remained in my life both in my own projects, and on a growing scale with private clients. I then made the decision to take this full-time, and 'Graham O'Connor Architecture' was born. I am supported in my work by my wife Kelly, and as we raise our 4 children.
My point of difference in the work that I do is being of a scale that allows a personal approach to all clients, whilst providing a high-quality design that you will love, the honesty and integrity that you deserve, and a commitment to support you on the journey to creating your fabulous home. From my first visit to your property, designs are always a collaboration, working to your brief or style.
I am a fan of natural products, and natural light is one of the most valuable. I have excellent connections for bespoke glass products, adding the 'wow factor' to any home that an 'off the peg' product can never do in the same way. I have also worked on projects ranging from beautiful small extensions of 6 meters squared, right the way up to 130 metres squared two- storey extensions, and new homes. Furthermore, I have worked on both traditional and modern projects.. good design should be able to be applied to any scale and style.
I am also hugely honoured to get such excellent feedback from my clients and to produce properties that they are immensely proud to own.
